Cole has been a farm hand at a local Highland cattle farm this summer and it's been a wonderful blessing for him. He's enjoyed the animals and he's enjoyed being needed. His boss is a generous and praise-full lady who makes Cole feel totally welcome and genuinely wanted and it's brought out the best in him. He's been an eager and uncomplaining worker. I haven't had to rush him out the door or nag him to get ready for work. He's chomping at the bit to go every morning.
God gave mankind the garden to tend because we were made for work. We were made to pour out our strength into the things we do. Ecclesiastes 3:13 "I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; and also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.”
I am very thankful we live in place with godly work for my boys. (Thanks Vanessa... it was a good idea)
